Operating since 1998, CHAT was launched in response to a recognition of the needs of local young people, who named the charity.

Direct referrals from individuals, schools, GPs, CAMHS and other professionals.

A registered charity.

A professional confidential youth counselling service, offered free to young people aged 9-25 years, living in the North East Northamptonshire area.

Counsellors and a therapeutic mentor who listen to and support young people through difficulties they may be facing

  • Members of British Association of Counselling Professionals (BACP).
  • Fully experienced and trained in safeguarding
  • Committed to undertaking continued professional development.
  • Led by committed volunteer trustees who are vital to the securing of funds
  • and in administering the work of CHAT.

Funded by the Clinical Commissioning Groups and Public Health Northamptonshire and also supported by Oundle Town Council, Thrapston Town Council and local organisations.
